Most vacation homes and permanent residences have a strong connection with their surroundings and many with pools make water a major element in their design and structure. The Thao Dien House, designed by MM++Architects, is located in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. The house features an expansive pool that wraps around a large wooden deck and occupies the majority of the back yard.

Building a pool into the ground or leveling it to the ground floor deck is technically easier. However, a higher level allows for a better view.
