Make a nature-inspired wall hanging for your bedroom
Incorporating elements of nature into your living space is a great way to bring a sense of tranquility and beauty into your everyday life. One simple and creative way to do this is by making a nature-inspired wall hanging for your bedroom.
Firstly, gather materials such as a wooden hoop, string, scissors, and artificial or dried leaves and flowers to use as decorations. Start by wrapping the string around the hoop, creating a web-like pattern. You can use different colors or textures of string to add visual interest.
Next, attach the leaves and flowers to the string using small pieces of twine or thread. Be strategic with placement, creating an arrangement that is visually pleasing and balanced. Consider using leaves and flowers in different sizes, shapes, and colors to create a dynamic and natural look.
Once you have attached all of your decorations, hang the wall hanging in your bedroom. You can hang it directly on the wall using a nail or hook, or you can attach it to a dowel rod and hang the rod on the wall for a different look.
The nature-inspired wall hanging will add a touch of natural beauty to your bedroom and instantly elevate the overall aesthetic. It will serve as a reminder of the calm and peacefulness of the outdoors, helping create a serene and relaxing atmosphere in your living space.
By following these simple steps, you can easily create a nature-inspired wall hanging that is both beautiful and meaningful. So why not give it a try and bring a little piece of nature into your bedroom?
Decorating walls is one of my favorite parts of interior projects because the possibilities are endless. It’s a creative and personal way to update your home and express your mood and personality. My wall decor ideas are influenced by the seasonal atmosphere, so I chose to hang a Wooden Autumn Mobile with delicate gold accents.
These mobiles are attention grabbers and can be personalized in many ways. You can change their colors, patterns, size, and accessories. Follow the instructions below to see how I made one.
What you need:
Wooden sticks, string, brass spray paint, twigs for decoration, drill, sandpaper (optional), and paint tape are the materials needed for this project.
Instructions:
1. Cut the wooden sticks to the desired length.
2. Drill two holes at each end of every stick for the string. Ensure that the holes are large enough for the string to pass through but not too big for the knots that will keep them in place.
3. Sandpaper and wash the stick to ensure a smooth and clean surface.
4. Adding gold accents to the sticks is the next step. Plan how to decorate them beforehand. I chose to give them a golden shine at the ends, so I used paint tape to mark the areas to be painted.
5. Place the sticks on cardboard or newspapers to protect surfaces and spray paint them brass. Wait for the paint to dry before continuing.
6. With your sticks prepared, it’s time to create the mobile. Cut two equal-length strings for construction purposes.
Pass the string through the hole and tie a knot to secure the stick.
8. Repeat with the remaining two holes. At the end, arrange them as shown in the photo. Repeat with the second string and the holes on the other side of the mobile, ensuring consistent distance between the sticks.
Once your mobile base is complete, decorate it with twigs. Show your creative personality by adding your own unique touch. I prefer minimalistic decorations, so I kept mine simple. However, feel free to get creative and go all out!
Secure the twigs using string or tape and hang your mobile on the wall.
Ta daaa! The leaves will change colors to golden brown on your wall, creating a truly Autumn decoration! You can keep the dry leaves or switch to fresh twigs, depending on your preference.
