Alpine Chalet With An Indoor Pool And Minimalist Interior Design
Megeve in the French Alps is an ideal destination for tourists looking for a relaxing winter holiday and private chalets. Bo Design transformed this dream into reality with Chalet Cyanella. The studio drew inspiration from the topographic environment and views when designing the space.
Guided by the motto that less is more, the designers gave this chalet a charming character that stands out in a modern and sophisticated way. The interior remains welcoming and comfortable, balanced by the expansive views and large windows that connect with the outdoors.
The social spaces have fireplaces. Their decors are enjoyable, comfortable, and relaxing. The main materials used in the chalet are simple and organic. The palette is mostly based on stone, metal, and wood.
They are combined with warm and welcoming color nuances, such as shades of brown, red, and other earthy tones.
A great deal of emphasis was placed on the lighting, artwork, and accessories in the chalet. The indoor pool, for instance, is illuminated by LED strips on the ceiling, while the lounge area boasts a higher ceiling section and a sophisticated chandelier.
The bedrooms are inviting, with large windows and sometimes a ceiling skylight. They’re complemented by wood-covered walls, exposed ceiling beams, and stone accents. The master bedroom opens onto a balcony.
One of the bedrooms has bunk beds, providing a fun space for kids. Unlike the master suite, this room has a smaller window with simple treatments, positioned in the center of a triangle-shaped wall.
The upper level includes an open area serving as a home office, with two small windows allowing some light and a wall sconce providing a warm glow.
