Instructions:

2. Clean the bottles and remove any labels.
3. Apply a coat of acrylic paint using a paintbrush.
4. Let the paint dry completely.
5. Apply a layer of Mod Podge to the painted bottles.
6. Sprinkle sand onto the Mod Podge.
7. Press shells onto the sand to secure them.
8. Use a glue gun to attach twine around the neck of the bottle.
9. Let the Mod Podge dry and set.
10. Spray the bottles with a sealer spray to protect the decor.

Step one: Clean and dry the glass bottle thoroughly.
Step two: Pour an ample amount of glass paint or tinted Mod Podge into the bottle. Swirl the paint inside until the interior is covered. Leave the bottle upside down for at least an hour to let the excess paint drip out.
I used both white and light blue frosted glass paints in one bottle, and Mod Podge Sheer color in the other.
Step three: Let the paint dry completely, which takes 24-48 hours. I place my jars in a sunny window to speed up drying time.
Step four: Paint the metal lid of the bottle. Use E-6000 glue to attach a coral branch to the lid. To prevent the coral from slipping off, use a small amount of hot glue to secure it.
Step five: Affix a dowel rod inside a shell. Trim the rod to leave approximately 1/2 inch. Create a small hole in the cork top and attach the dowel rod to the cork.
Step six: Embellish the bottle neck with twine.
I love the finished piece! The colors and beach souvenirs make me feel like I’m back at the beach. You could easily make these in any color to match your home’s decor!
